About Me

Are you a baby boomer looking ahead to the future and wondering what lies in store for you during your retirement years? Are you rethinking the traditional retirement and planning to continue working?

If you have answered yes to either of those questions, then you are like me. As my working years click by and I get closer to the elusive “golden years” – I have found myself pondering what to do with myself when I reach the traditional retirement years. I mean, planning for my financial future is one thing, but being mentally prepared for retirement and what you do with the opportunity is quite another.

In my heart of hearts, I subscribe to the message in the poem of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas:

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

So, if you’re like me, a baby boomer with a lot more living to do and want to embrace the eternal optimist’s philosophy that the best is yet to come and the future is what you make of it, then I would like to hear from you.

I look forward to sharing my thoughts, experiences, research and tips on this blog regarding retirement and how to prepare for it. I would like to hear from you too, so that together we can navigate the murky retirement planning waters and learn from and support each other.
